In memory of David Howard, Cavendish Motor Services held a Running Day on Saturday 29 September 2007. The Day started at Pevensey Old Cattle Market where the Cavendish Routemaster RML 2324 was officially launched and named "David R. Howard. The Routemaster along with Eastbourne Buses Regal and The Eastbourne Lion Preservation Group's Leyland Lion then proceeded to Langney Point where Ensignbus's Regent was waiting and the running day between Langney Point and Holywell began. Travel on the buses was free, with collections in aid of the Royal National Lifeboats Institution, David’s favourite charity. A final total of £300 was raised.

Just before moving to Pevensey the Routemaster received new "David R. Howard" and "DRH" lettering.

Eastbourne Buses AEC Regal departs Pevensey for Langney Point.

The Eastbourne Lion Preservation Group's Leyland Lion heads to Langney point following the Regal and Routemaster.

Cavendish Routemaster RML 2324 heads to Langney Point from Holywell.

Eastbourne Buses Regal heads to Langney Point from Holywell.

Ensignbus's Regent heads to Holywell from Langney Point.
